Say what you want about Kanye...but he is the only one putting ANY effort into his video's. Some of the scenes are from famous paintings in history and others are just his imagination. BTW...Nicki killed her verse and she killed the video, her scenes were dope! What you think?

It is a crime drama/coming of age tale of three fictitious characters growing up in a crime ridden mythical city in a jungle. This project explores the icon of the gangster in modern media, and weaves musical history and gangster film history into an operatic music based story of brotherhood and survival. An homage to 90’s New York hip-hop, “City of God’s Son” is the redefinition of the remix. Featuring legendary soul singer Joe Bataan. Hajime Sorayama NYC exhibit

Japanese artist Hajime Sorayama will be in NYC next month as the Gering & Lopez Gallery  announce an upcoming retrospective solo show. Titled 1970-2010, the exhibition will highlight past and present work from Sorayama, known for the hyper-realistic images of women he creates using brush, pencil, acrylic and paint.

SHHO

In the fall semester of 2006, Student Hip-Hop Organization (SHHO) was founded at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA. Since then, it has branched to surrounding universities and has played an integral part in Virginia’s hip-hop scene while cultivating the minds of their campuses and communities.

The organization is known for its quality, independent spirit, and most importantly, authenticity. It has become an institution and creative platform for students and artists to gain experience and find opportunity in their individual passions. Earlier today a rough cut of Kanye's "Christmas in Harlem" record made its way around. It features vocals from CyHi Da Price, Jim Jones, Pusha T, Big Sean, Cam'ron, Musiq Soulchild, Vado, Teyana Taylor and of course Kanye. Funkmaster Flex had the drop on this latest version. It’s missing a verse from Vado as well. Stay tuned for more.

Monster - Preview

It looks like Kanye West continues to impress both musically and visually as the teaser for the video of the star-studded “Monster”-track emerges. The plot is not fully revealed her but it seems that the clip maintains the same visual theme as his short movie-project Runaway. Stay tuned for the full version real soon.

Good to see I'm not the only "idiot" who left a salary, 401k, benefits, etc all behind in search of a better life. Like Kelsey says, "it was as if life was already planned out...how do I make it more interesting."

ATCQ Documentary - Trailer

Yooooooooo I can not wait to see this. My favorite hip-hop group of all time.

Directed by actor Mike Rappaport, offered is a sneak peak at his upcoming documentary on one of hip-hop’s most beloved groups of all time, A Tribe Called Quest. The documentary was said to have taken several years to shoot and is almost towards completion. Mike Rappaport has been known to be a hip-hop fan since his early days. Stay tuned for more details on his “Beats, Rhymes & Life” documentary on A Tribe Called Quest.
